Through the use of EMDR, DBT, and other complementary techniques, I help people overcome a wide range of challenges. I have found that standard "talk therapy" may help people think about things differently or make better choices in their lives, but those people often don't feel any better than before. My clients report genuinely feeling better, that their lives are changed through no longer feeling the same pain that haunted them before. Diagnoses I have successfully treated include PTSD, anxiety disorders, OCD, eating disorders, and depression, to name a few.
I offer 3 levels of therapy, depending on what best fits the person's needs. 1) Outpatient therapy. 2) Adjunct EMDR therapy. This is in addition to someone's work with their regular therapist who does not offer EMDR. 3)EMDR intensives. This allows a person to get results quickly through an accelerated program. See my website for more info.
I support the principles of intuitive eating and HAES. I am a queer woman, and often work with people who are LGBTQIA+, ethically nonmonogamous, and/or living in ways others may deem "unconventional." As a social worker, social justice is important to me, and I strive to be culturally aware and informed.
